4th Team Tournament in the "Japanese Garden" at Kaiserslautern


Short Information



The tournament will take place on Saturday, 22nd of July, 2006, in
the city of Kaiserlautern in the "Japanese Garden"

12 teams, at maximum, will be admitted to participate. The teams must have three

There will be 3 tournament rounds Swiss system, with full handicap. The 8
strongest teams will play in group A, the 4 weaker teams in group B.
The selection into group A or B will depend on the average strength of the teams.
There will be one group, if the number of entering teams will be 8 or less.
The entry fee for each team is 15 Euros. The winning teams in both groups
will get the entry fees as price money.

This tournament is an open air tournament. In case of bad weather, we shall
play in a big tent.

We shall offer snacks, pastries and cold and warm drinks.
Regrettably, we are unable to offer free sleeping accommodations.
This one day tournament is preferably designated to go players in our neighbourhood,
which can come and go on one day.
The opening will be at 11 a.m., the price giving is planned between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Registration procedure:

Please send your binding announcement of participation to the e-mail address above.
Your announcement must include names and strength of three players. You are
allowed to replace team members until the opening of the tournament.

(A) At first, there is a reservation until June 8th for one team from those clubs which
played in our last team tournament in 2005. These reservations are for these six clubs:
Kaiserslautern, Luxemburg, Mannheim, Saarbrücken, Trier, Worms.

(B) Secondly, other clubs registering until June 8th will get a place for one team,
depending on the order of registrations.

(C) At least, further free places will be given to 2nd and 3rd teams of clubs and
to clubs registering after June 8th, also depending on order of registration.

(D) We shall try to guarantee an even number of teams playing in the tournament.
In case of urgency, we shall post a call for help to the registered clubs and to the
mailing-list news@dgob.de .
